Over and out

There is an old phrase that goes something like this “Over and Out”. We’ve all heard the phrase but most of us don’t know where it came from. The term originally comes from our beloved armed forces and is also used in radio communications like the CB radio.

Yet, so many today are way too easily offended by just about everything. These are the ones that have taken this phrase way too far and way out of context, from its original mean. Some say ‘Over and Out’ when they don’t get what they want out of a relationships, a marriage or even membership in an organization – like church, motorcycle club or an civic association.

People, we need to learn to persevere!! We need to toughen up and honor our commitments instead of just throwing in the towel so quickly or throwing the baby out with the bathwater. James 1:4 says “But endurance (perseverance) must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.” If we don’t preserve through the hard times we will never achieve a level of maturity and success that only come from and through those hard times.

When I was young, my mom used to have a couple little encouraging statements that she would say to help me to dig deep, work hard and finish the job. These saying went something like “Pull yourself up by the boot straps” and “Keep your nose to the grind stone”. What she was encouraging me to do was to stay focused, to not give up and to keep working hard. No matter the struggle that I might have been facing or the frustration that other people may have caused.

My encouragement to you today is this: the relationship might seem like it’s on the rocks right now. But, don’t give up – Love one another and communicate. Don’t give up so quickly. Things at work, at church or in the club might seem like their going the wrong way. Stick it out, be a part of the solution, not part of the problem.

Quitting never accomplished anything! What tends to happen when we give up to quickly, is greater offense and then out of the offenses and hurt feelings come slanderous comments that are made about the people, places and things that we’ve quit on.

Remember, there are two sides to every situation and then there is the truth. Stay involved, stay engaged and be a solution… not part of the problem.

Much Love & Respect,

As I write this there is a winter storm going on outside with up to 8” of snow expected.  I’ve starting experiencing a weariness lately.. I heard the Spirit of God speak to me that it’s not just a physical issue but more importantly a spiritual issue.  The Lord said “Your spirit is sad and weary because of a lack of prayer”.  And that has got me thinking, about what Jude 1:20.

Jude 20 (HCSB) says “But you, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit,”

Basically, this is say PRAY IN TONGUES!  This time of year many suffer from what called the winter blues…  this is a state of depression that is brought on by the dark gloom of the cold winter months.  In this depression brings on a bad outlook on life, ministry, finances and the list goes on and on.

Prayer helps us to refocus on The Lord and upon His Word, blessings and grace.  Philippians 4:8 (HCSB) says “Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise—dwell on these things.”

So, when the weariness sets in, when the ho hums start trying to take over and your thoughts start to turn dark.  Turn up the prayer life even more.  Pray in the Holy Spirit and watch your peace rise, your joy and happiness and wellbeing sky rocket!!

God is good!

Let me know if this little blog has helped you!

The Preacher’s Manifesto

I am a preacher. I am a messenger of the most high God – an ambassador of the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20).

I am a herald of the greatest story ever told, and the best news ever received (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

I am a sinner, saved by grace—not through my works, but through Christ’s work in me (Ephesians 2:8-9).

I am equipped with everything I need for the calling God has for my life (Ephesians 2:10).

I will preach the Gospel without shame (Romans 1:16).

I will not settle for moralistic, therapeutic, feel-good, prosperity preaching (2 Timothy 4:2-3).

I will preach the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth of God’s Word (Titus 2:1).

I will use the Bible as the firm foundation for all my messages (2 Timothy 2:15).

I will read the Bible more than best-sellers (Psalm 1). I will study academically, but speak plainly for all to understand (Acts 15:19).

I will work to please God, not man (Galatians 1:10).

I will seek to be faithful, not famous (1 Samuel 12:24).

I will glorify God, not myself (1 Corinthians 10:31).

I will build up God’s kingdom and His Church, not my own (Matthew 6:33).

I will live with the highest integrity—a life above reproach—so the Church won’t get another black eye (1 Timothy 3:1-7).

I will practice what I preach (Matthew 23:3).

I will boast in my weakness, not my strength (2 Corinthians 12:9).

I will live in Biblical community, not isolation (Hebrews 10:24-25).

I will know and love my neighbors, not just my church members (Leviticus 19:18).

I will live, eat, and drink with sinners—like Jesus did—because it is not the healthy who need a doctor but the sick (Matthew 9:11-13).

I will prioritize the needs of my wife, sacrificing myself for her, so that ministry doesn’t
become my mistress (Ephesians 5:25).

I will spend quality time with my children, so they will grow to love the church, not hating it for taking their daddy (Ephesians 6:4).

I will honor the Sabbath and rest, knowing God is in control (Exodus 31:12-13).

I will circle my preaching in prayer, giving my anxiety to God (Philippians 4:6-7).

I will listen before I speak (James 1:19).

I will become all things to all people so that I might win as many as possible (1 Corinthians 9:19-23).

I seek to serve, not to be served (Romans 12:3).

I will give before I receive, because I will reap what I sow (Galatians 6:7).

I will truly love people, not just pretend to love them (Romans 12:9-10).

I will preach with all I’ve got, holding nothing back (Jeremiah 20:9).

I will not back down, shut up, or shy away from speaking the truth (Acts 5:40-42).

I will preach hard truth with love (Ephesians 4:15).

I will hold firm to sound doctrine, no matter how unpopular it may be (Titus 1:9).

I will not waver in my faith in a big God who accomplishes big things through those who dare to act upon God-sized dreams (Ephesians 3:20).

I will not allow temptation and the Devil to gain a hold on me (James 4:7).

I will be a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1).

I will fight the good fight, keep the faith, and finish the race (2 Timothy 4:7).

I am a preacher. And, Lord willing, in the end, I will hear those words I so desperately long to hear: “Well done good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21).

Recently, like a couple days ago, a person at church stood up and proceeded to call me a liar, right in front of the entire church!  She wouldn’t listen to truth at all.. she didn’t listen to my public apology and why the change in direction.  She was blinded by her own self-righteous indignation.

Ya see, the issue was a week and a half prior, while she was telling me how evil a new ministry that we were adding to Victory Biker Church was evil, and wrong and not from God.  Like reach a group of people with the Gospel message, that is not being effective reached is wrong.  Anyway, I told her that I wanted 100% support from the officers of the church. (My mistake)

So, come this last Sunday the Lord had already spoken to me and said “This new ministry, Sons of Victory MC/M, is from Me and do this!”  So, of course I said YES SIR!!  So, I went to our bylaws and sure enough I only needed a majority vote, which I already had.  But, in all reality, as it is ministry I don’t need approval from anyone.  After, all it is not a new church bus or property purchase!

So, as part of the service, we introduced the Sons of Victory MC/M to the church.  We gave specifics and answered all the questions that the people had.  But, she took her opportunity to slander my character and call me a liar!  SMH!

My point in all this is this…  Self-righteousness blinds us from the truth!  It closes our ears and eyes to hearing anything that is contrary to our own religious mindsets and in this case witchcraft!

The Body of Christ must ditch religion, denominationalism, self-righteousness, witchcraft and idolatry!  Right now!!  And start allowing the Holy Spirit to grow His fruit from with us and through us!  Gal 5:22-23!

Christian Witchcraft

I know the title of this is a little confusing and sounds unbiblical doesn’t it? But, in all reality there are so many professing Christians in the world that have blended Jesus with the vain and unholy by worship idols and praticing witchcraft while exusing their actions as being, somehow, righteous.

For those that do not know.. witchcraft means “the practice of magic, especially black magic; the use of spells and the invocation of spirits.” Some people who do this will immediatly protest that they don’t do that… but they do!

A recent example of this would be from a few Sunday services ago. I got up like all Sunday mornings… showering, praying, reading scripture and breakfast. But, this week I was not feeling well at all. Ya see, I had been fighting a cold and just chalked it up as that But, as I got to church I couldn’t get my thoughts in order. I felt discombobulated, out of sorts and out of character. As I got up to preach I couldn’t stop caughing… people were bringing me caugh drops and ice tea to help. God bless everyone.

Yet, it was so hard to get my thoughts in order. Thank God for His Holy Spirit who took over!!! I remember seeing my brother Terry, one of our intercessors in his normal spot, praying, as always. But this week he was more intense.

After service Diane and I got back from going out for dinner with some brothers and sisters from church. I got a call from our Senior Prophet Dulan Foster that someone in our church had spoken a word curse against me… then he prayed.

I then spoke with brother Terry and he told me the Lord had had him praying for me all service and all afternoon and that someone had cursed me. The big thing is… we know, by the Holy Spirit, who it was and the motivation behind it.  “I’ll force him to drive the prophet out of our church!”  That my friends is the evil spirit of Jezebel!!

Anyway… after, all this and prayer I felt it break almost immediately! Praise The Lord!

I have several other experiences like this… one is a huge one where an old friend was part of our church… he left the church and spent the better part of last year speaking evil of me and the church. The word curses had me in such depression I almost quit!! But, praise God for His deliverance and healing I’m back better then ever!

My point is… why do peopel think that they can play with satan and still think their ok with God? Why do they think they can worship demons and call themselves Christians? People who do this are only fooling themselves!!!  I’ll tell you… they are deceived and lead a stray. In fact, the great falling away has begun. The fact is peple who think that they are good with God yet do not rid themselves of all wickedness! The danger here is that they are in danger of hearing “Depart from me I never knew you!”

James 3:9–10 (HCSB) 9 We praise our Lord and Father with it, and we curse men who are made in God’s likeness with it. 10 Praising and cursing come out of the same mouth. My brothers, these things should not be this way.

Listen, the Holy Spirit has been dealing with me on the subject of witchcraft and how many Christians practice witchcraft without even know it. See, witchcraft isn’t just a part of Satanism and all of the forms of it. But many professing Christians get caught up in it as well. As I was writing this I’ve seen other articles being written about this same issue. So I’ve very confident that the Lord is dealing with the Body on this issue globally. Repent for the sin of witchcraft!

Galatians 5:19–21 19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I tell you about these things in advance—as I told you before—that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (HCSB)

Now, I’d like to expound a bit on the casting spells bit… another word for casting spells in the context would be curses.

A Curse isn’t just foul language which we’re told to not let come out of our mouths in Eph. 5:4 but even worse it’s an Invocation of evil or injury against one’s enemies. As practiced in Bible times, cursing was the opposite of blessing and should not be confused with profanity in the modern sense.

The Pagans believe that Curses and blessings were linked to the ancient pagan belief that spirits or “the gods” could be invoked to act on behalf of a person who repeated certain incantations or performed certain deeds (such as sacrifices). It was thought that a spoken curse possessed an occult power to work calamity on one’s enemies. Let’s consider what the Bible says about witchcraft. It may surprise you to learn that what the world—or even what the Wiccans—call witchcraft is not always one in the same as what the Bible calls witchcraft. For example, when you think of witchcraft, you probably think of black magic or séances or crap like that. These abominations are covered in the Bible. But witchcraft is not always so mysterious. Indeed, rebellion, word curses, manipulation and works of the flesh also fall into the realm of witchcraft. However you define it, though, practicing witchcraft is a serious sin, and way too many Christians are experts at sorcery than you may realize.

We say it a lot around here – because the Word says is – that we are created in God’s image right? Gen 1:26. God is a creator so by design we are too! Right? But have you ever wondered why we have to be careful what we say? It comes down to the fact that since we are created in His image are words are very powerful –

Proverbs 18:21 “Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (HCSB)

Romans 12:9–21 9 Love must be without hypocrisy. Detest evil; cling to what is good. 10 Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Do not lack diligence; be fervent in spirit; serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer. 13 Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. 16 Be in agreement with one another. Do not be proud; instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation. 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Try to do what is honorable in everyone’s eyes. 18 If possible, on your part, live at peace with everyone. 19 Friends, do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for His wrath. For it is written: Vengeance belongs to Me; I will repay, says the Lord. 20 But If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink. For in so doing you will be heaping fiery coals on his head. 21 Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good. (HCSB)

The Apostle Paul’s encourages us in this section relate to a believer’s reactions to the actions and emotions of others, whether they are Christians or not. The hatred displayed in persecution usually evokes response in kind (you hit me I flatten you), but Paul commanded, Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse (cf. Matt. 5:44). Perhaps Paul thought of Stephen (Acts 7:59–60) and of Jesus Christ (Luke 23:34). They both modeled these words and responded to persecution even to death by praying for God’s forgiveness of their persecutors.

But witchcraft also has an element of manipulation to it as well. Manipulate is defined as: to control or play upon by artful, unfair, or insidious means especially to one’s own advantage and to exercising unscrupulous control or influence over a person or situation. We’ll get into some examples in just a bit.Now that we’ve addressed some forms and attributes of witchcraft lets jump in on Ways Christians use witchcraft without even knowing it: The 1st way and, one of the most common, in my understanding: Saying God said… in front of everything they want to do or get and when God hasn’t said. It’s like this… You really want a new Harley Davidson, you go to the dealership find the bike of your dreams. You sit on it consider all the options and extra gear you want. You even calculate the cost, insurance and all that. Then you go to God in prayer… God I really want this bike… Can I have it and you keep it up. Persistence is good but where is Lord, your will be done? Then one day you hear a voice (your voice) in your head say “it’s yours go get it” and you run off to go get it… Then start telling everyone God told me I could have this bike… when He didn’t. You told yourself that.

Listen, if God sad it… it will happen and there is such peace knowing that it’s the Lord who said and who WILL accomplish what He has said. Folks listen! This is a classic example of misusing the Lords name which we are commanded NOT to do: Exodus 20:7 (HCSB) Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God, because the Lord will not leave anyone unpunished who misuses His name. Now many think this passage and the 3rd commandment of the 10 commandments is talking about using God’s name as a curse word. Listen, as I studied this out I found that the name of God should be honored and protected.

See, the Israelites were not to use His name for any idle, frivolous, or insincere purpose (such as speaking His name when taking an oath with no intention of keeping it, Lev. 19:12). People should not use His name for selfish or evil purposes (cf. Ps. 139:20; also see comments on Deut. 5:11), thereby seeking to usurp His authority. We get ourselves in a lot of trouble… in the name of God when we misuse His name.

So many evil things have been done in His name and He had nothing to do with it. Hear me PLEASE! God does speak to us ALL THE TIME! But, make sure it’s God telling you – There are many voices – Ask for a few confirmations! It’s Ok and He doesn’t mind at all!!

Here’s another one: Prophesying over someone based on knowledge gained from other people or even another spirit (NOT of the Lord) that once again you say… God told me. This is why I never want anyone to tell me about someone that I’m going to be praying for. I only want to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. Not my head, not my emotions and definitely not another spirit. It’s like this… If I over hear a conversation (or even am part of a conversation) about say brother so-and-so during the week and I pray about it – which is what we’re supposed to do… take all things to God in prayer.

But come Sunday I call brother so-and-so up to be prayed over and start to “prophecy” over him based on the knowledge I’ve gained previously. It’s not the Holy Spirit… this is very dangerous. To me there is only one reason for this behavior… vain self-promotion. To get people to think and say WOW you really are an anointed man/woman of God… so super spiritual.

WE MUST Test the spirit!

1 John 4:1–3 (HCSB) “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God. 3 But every spirit who does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist; you have heard that he is coming, and he is already in the world now.

To begin with, the Spirit of God must be distinguished from all false spirits. This is why we MUST know our Masters voice and if unsure ASK FOR CONFIRMATION! This is particularly necessary because many false prophets have gone out into the world. The point by which these spirits (false prophets – which are yes men) are to be tested is their attitude toward the fact that Jesus Christ the Son of God was born. The failure to acknowledge that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is precisely what exposes the spirit of the antichrist, which the Apostle John had already warned us about.

The next form of witchcraft that I’ve seen Christians do is: Manipulating people/leaders to get what they want – whether position, title, accolades… This typically is the spirit of Jezebel and Absolom in action. It’s like this: Playing the end game, once again using “God said…” to make one’s self look good. The most common is speaking curses over people remember

Proverbs 18:21 (HCSB) “Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

A Good example here would be Jezebel’s Word Curses:

Then there’s Jezebel’s witchcraft. In 2 Kings 9:22, right before the wicked queen’s demise, Jehu offered insight into an open door for the Jezebel spirit when he told her son, “

2 Kings 9:22 When Joram saw Jehu he asked, “Do you come in peace, Jehu?” He answered, “What peace can there be as long as there is so much prostitution and witchcraft from your mother Jezebel?”

The spirit of Jezebel is essentially a spirit of seduction that works to escort believers into immorality and idolatry (see Rev. 2:20). And this spirit uses witchcraft (curses, manipulations, etc) against its enemies. Jezebel’s witchcraft was rooted in rebellion, but the type of witchcraft in this verse refers to incantations and spells.

In the today’s church world, we call them word curses. Jezebel released a word curse against Elijah that carried a spirit of fear when she sent him this message: “

1 Kings 19:2 2 So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “May the gods punish me and do so severely if I don’t make your life like the life of one of them by this time tomorrow!”

Today, word curses aren’t always so dramatic. When we speak negatively over someone’s life—“They will never hold down a job acting like that,” “Their marriage is bound to fail the way he treats her,” “The doctors said he’s going to die in 30 days. Isn’t that sad?”—we are agreeing with the enemy’s plan and giving power to it with our anointed mouths. The power of death and life are in the tongue (see Prov. 18:21).

If you are inadvertently—or purposely—releasing witchcraft over people with the words of your mouth, repent and get your mouth back in line with the Spirit of God.But here’s some AWESOME news! We, Christians, have the authority to Breaking curses! In Luke 10:19 Jesus gave us the authority!

19 Look, I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; nothing will ever harm you.

Also, Isaiah 54:17 is our go to scritpture for breaking word curses, judgments & attacks:

Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against you will succeed, and you will refute any accusation raised against you in court. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from Me.” This is the Lord’s declaration

I cancel all word curses, judgments spoke again me, all attacks leveled at me in JESUS name because we have all authority!! GLORY!!!

To recap:
1) If at all unsure that God said: Ask for confirmation and clarification
2) Check your personal motivations: Is what you’re saying for self-promotion?
3) Watch what you speak – make sure your words are filled with Life and the Word of the Lord.a. And if you should speak death be quick to repent and speak life.

TCLOCKS & a Check Up from the Neck Up

I’ve been writting a new article for my Biker Preachers Article in the Thunder Roads Michigan magazine… I felt that I just didn’t have encough space in the article to really get all my thoughts out so I decided to put ih here in my blog, as well.

Unless you’re a brand-new rider… we’ve all heard of T.C.L.O.C.K.s right? If ya don’t know what that is, it is the basic safety inspection method which helps us to make sure our bikes are in good, safe working condition. TCLOCK stands for (T) tires & wheels (C) controls levers (L) lights & battery, (O) oil levels, (C) chassis, (K) kickstand. I do a very thorough TCLOCKs inspection in the spring of each year which is when I change all my oils and identify any issues that need to be addressed.

1 Corinthians 11:31 says “If we were properly evaluating ourselves, we would not be judged,” Ya see, we should also take a good look at our own spiritual condition as well… or as I like to say “take a checkup from the neck up”! Hopefully more than just once a year.

Lamentations 3:40 tells us “Let us search out and examine our ways, and turn back to the Lord.”

In our self-assessment, we must be honest with ourselves and with God who knows ALL. The first question we need to ask ourselves is this…

  1. Am I right with God? How is my relationship with Jesus?
  2. Secondly, is there any unresolved sin in my life?
  3. Thirdly, is there any unforgiveness in my heart? Am I angry with someone or do I need to repent/apologize to anyone for my actions and words that I did or said?

If you don’t know Jesus yet… you don’t know Peace. The peace, joy, happiness that you’re truly looking for are only found in Jesus – the rest is a fake con-job to keep you away from Jesus. If you need Jesus – please pray with me. “God, I know that you are real. Thank you for being in the wind with me even before I ask. Thank you for Your Son, Jesus that died and rose again for me. Please, forgive me of my sins, for I truly repent and turn to You. Jesus, I ask you now to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior, that we might ride together daily. I dedicate myself and my bike to serving You. Thank you for saving me Lord! Thank you, for I am now in “Your” wind. In Jesus name, Amen.

As we continue with our spiritual TCLOCK inspection;

Forgiveness is a crucial step that many forget about! Jesus said in Matthew 6:15 “…If you don’t forgive people, your Father will not forgive your wrongdoing.” So many keep themselves in a prison cell of anger, self-righteousness, loneliness, and frustration and so many keep themselves in a place of being broke, busted and discussed. When we forgive (that’s to release people from their wrong doings that they did to you) God forgives us of our sins!!

Yet, the biggest person we need to forgive is… OURSELVES. Sometimes we just need to look at ourselves in the mirror and say “I forgive you, in Jesus name”! We all know what we have done in the past… we all know the problems and issues that we have gotten ourselves into. Forgive yourself and forgive others who have offended you, hurt you, stolen from you, ect. Let it go!!

Also, ask the Lord if there is any sins in your life that He is actively working on. Ask Him to show you what they [sins] are and to help you to truly repent and be forgiven. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Listen, when we repent God forgives! Which means that he washes you clean and forgets about your sins… throwing them as far as the east is from the west. Never to be used against you again.

God is SOOOO freakin’ good and His love and mercy endure forever!!

Pastors, Prophets & Apostles Oh MY!

Every now and again I come across one of those religious types that want to argue with me about, as they say, calling myself an apostle. Their argument is that “God doesn’t do that anymore”! Seems to be there default come back for God doing what God does!

The issue is that God is still calling and using apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers… Epheisans 4:11 spells it out for us in black and white and vs 12 tells us the why!!

Ephesians 4:11 – 12 “And He [Jesus] personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, 12 for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,”

It seems their main argument is “that was for a different time or dispensation”. Listen, this in all effect is calling God a liar Hebrews 13:8 says

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Listen,  GOD DOES NOT CHANGE!  We do and manmade religions does!

Here is a short description of what the Five-Fold Minsters do:

The Apostles’ Job Description
The word ‘apostle’ is defined as “one chosen and sent with a message”. They are referred to as:

  • “wise master builders” or “spiritual architects” (1 Corinthians 3: 10).
  • Pioneers of new Churches. (1 Corinthians 9:2; 1 Corinthians 3:6).
  • Grounds the Church in truth (Colossians 1:25).
  • Bring correction in erroneous ministry, preserves unity in the Body (1 Corinthians 3:3-5).
  • Lay foundations in the Church. (1 Corinthians 3:10).
  • Father new ministries. (2 Timothy 1: 6; 1 Corinthians 4:15).
  • A ministry of miracles, signs and wonders (2 Corinthians 12:12; Acts 2:43).
  • A ministry of prayer and the ministry of the Word (Acts 6: 4).
  • Laying on of hands for impartation of ministry (Acts 6:6),
  • Imparts spiritual gifts (Romans 1:11)

Now listen –they are not the big cheese or anything – they are not to be worshipped but respected. Apostles are the spiritual fathers in the land… they are sent with a specific message, a specific call and mission!!The 5 Fold ministers are the foundation of the church planted on the firm bedrock of Christ Jesus – they/we are your gifts. In fact, we know that our ceiling in our spiritual children’s floor. Everyone should have that humble attitude toward others.

Generals International described the other 4 gifts so well I’m adding them to this post.

Prophet – Prophets speak from revelation the heart of God in a matter. It is not by perception, but by inspiration. They are foretellers and reveals of the intentions of God. They move in the inspirational gifts of 1 Cor. 12 of words of wisdom, prophecy, words of knowledge. It is not by perception, but by inspiration.

This office requires a consistent manifestation of at least two of the revelation gifts on an ongoing basis.

Most prophets also experience prophetic dreams and filled with symbolism and visions. Prophets speak more than individual prophetic words but prophetic words or messages that shift spiritual atmospheres over regions. They generally are draw to apostles. #1 job of prophets is not to prophecy but to train the people to hear God. When people can hear God in a region it is just as great or greater than a prophet releasing word over a region! They are generally trans-local as they are given to the body as a whole. They travel by themselves and with Apostles.

Evangelist– is one who is sent to save souls and present the gospel message. We see evangelist where the lost are and they are not listed in the order of the church in 1 Cor 12:28. Marks of an evangelist are salvations and healings and miracles. They have an ability to touch hardened hearts with God’s love for them to receive salvation. They also are found in the midst of environments that breed sin. The word is only used three times in scripture. The best example of an evangelist is Stephen. Philip started his ministry as a deacon in the helps ministry, in Acts 6:1, and moved into calling in Acts 8:26-40. They are generally drawn to pastors. They are trans-local traveling by themselves as a rule.

Pastor – The word pastor is only used one time in scripture yet we have made it the primary function today. Pastors are nurturers and must lay their lives down for the flock. They are healers of the broken and are given oversight to make sure the needs of people are being met. Just like a herdsmen there are also under-shepherds or pastors in almost every body of believers. They may not be recognized but are active meeting needs and ministering healing to others. Pastors are drawn to teachers to evangelist and then to teachers. Pastors are most effective one on one and modeling Christ. Not all pastors will be dynamic teachers but will be dynamic in showing love. They were never to be placed as final oversight or vision casters to the people. They are always given to a set group of people.

Teacher – The office of Teacher is one that stirs others to know the truth. It is more than explaining, it carries an anointing that brings change. Teachers love truth and love to study. They are avid readers and study topics in multiple ways. They are generally scribes and historians. They expand on what apostles release and prophets speak so others can clearly understand. They teach line upon line. They carry a divine, supernatural ability to impart knowledge above the natural way of doing. True teachers will never teach doctrinal error, but will study in-depth before giving new insight. They are an office with a main thrust to study and give away what they have learned. Teachers explain things from many different angles so the person is sure to understand.

Teachers are willing to be taught. They can be local and trans-local in ministry assignments as they are given to the body as a whole. They generally travel by themselves and sometimes with apostles and prophets.

My point in this blog post is the share with the Body of Christ, the Church, that God is still doing what He has always done.  His 5-Fold ministers are still being called, appointed, anointed and sent into the word to establish the Will and Kingdom of God in this world.  Let by the Holy Spirit just as 1 Corinthians 12:11 (HCSB) says 11 “But one and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as He wills.”

These are the gifts of God to the Church to bless, build up, encourage, mentor, lead and teach the Church to do the works of ministry “ until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness. Ephesians 4:13 (HCSB)

What do you think of my first blog post?
